NEARLY 300 companies have now registered for the biggest business seminar in the Tees Valley calendar.

Firms from Hartlepool are among those to sign up for the Tees Valley Business Summit since the request for delegates first went out three weeks ago.

Sixty companies will be exhibiting at the event to be held on Wednesday, July 9, at Teesside University.

Tees Valley Unlimited will be hosting the summit which will provide companies with the chance to network with hundreds of other local organisations. They can also join in with business seminars.

TVU managing director Stephen Catchpole said: “Tees Valley Business Summit has proved to be an efficient and effective way for businesses to raise their profile, generate new business leads and tap into expert knowledge on how to develop and grow their business”.

“The 2014 Tees Valley Business Summit will build on previous ones and will be even more informative, interactive and beneficial to businesses large and small.”

Confirmed exhibitors include Arriva, NOF Energy, Tait Walker, Enterprise Europe Network, North East Access to Finance and the NECC .

The event will be sponsored by Thirteen Group, FSB, UKTI, PD Ports and Teesside University.

As well as the business exhibition, the event will also include workshops providing information on how to improve your business.

The summit will start with the finale of the BASME Tees Valley Elevator Pitch competition, with the judging and the award ceremony.

Workshops will advise companies on topics such as funding options available to businesses, digital marketing, sales methods and best practices.

They also include developing your company’s supply chain, successful networking, business growth and improvement, exporting and international trade, product innovation and commercialisation.

The event is free to attend. Companies can register online or contact the team, and there are still spaces for exhibition stands.
