AN THERAPIST has added even more facilities to her business which offers massages and help with phobias.

Michelle Dolan, 31, has been running Therapeutic Touch as a business for around two years.

But what was just a mobile service now has a permanent base as well after Michelle joined forces with the Spirals hairdressers, in Elwick Road, to open a treatment room inside the premises.

Michelle said: “It has mostly been a mobile firm up to now and I had a clientele base covering mainly Hartlepool and Seaton Carew.

“But then I moved away for a while and, when I came back, I realised I needed to get a treatment room and somewhere that people could come to that was a supportive and peaceful space for them.

“This room was available and I snapped it up. I have also set up a website now.”

Michelle spent time away from Hartlepool last year to work for another employer and said: “I learned a lot from it.

“I decided to come back and start the new treatment room within Spirals. I have been planning it for a few weeks now with the permission of the owner of Spirals.”

The business, which opened at the end of March, offers services including relaxing massages, irridology, help with phobias, and therapy programmes.

Michelle described it as “holistic therapies” which offers support on multiple levels – from physical to nutritional, and emotional to psychological.

Michelle added: “I really want the business to be successful and would like lots of people to come to me for help to relax.”

She also hopes to start introductory classes so that people can learn about treatments.
