REGISTRATION is now open for an online nationwide careers fair run in association with the Mail.
The event, organised by jobstoday.co.uk, the employment website run by Mail parent company Johnston Press, allows employers to showcase their business and vacancies to relevant jobseekers through a virtual stand and connect to promising individuals in a real-time environment.
Providing a popular platform with both employers and jobseekers alike, the 11-day fair will take place from February 18 until March 1.
With great online features such as chat and video technology, businesses can bring to life their vacancies while jobseekers have the opportunity to really show off their skills and expertise.
Great businesses already booked to attend include IKEA, the Hesley Group and Victoria’s Secret.
The pre-registration process will ensure that only the most motivated jobseekers attend the fair.
Registrants will also receive essential updates, helping them to prepare fully and maximise their opportunity for success.
All jobseekers who register before February 18 will be automatically entered into a free prize draw to win an iPad Mini.
Johnston Press is one of the United Kingdom’s leading publishers of more than 200 local newspapers and internet sites, including the Mail and sister paper the Peterlee Star.
The fair will appear not only on jobstoday.co.uk but also in all Johnston Press publications, expanding the marketing reach of all participating businesses to 14 million people to ensure they fill their vacancy with the ideal person.
Joanne Harwood, group category manager at Johnston Press, said: “We previously ran two very successful virtual careers fairs last year, focusing on the health care and customer service and sales sectors.
“So we are extremely keen to help candidates and employers connect again all over the country.
“This time we’re running a national fair to include all sectors and businesses so that we are able to offer something for everyone.
“The fair will help great employers connect to local jobseekers who are really committed to finding a new job and vice versa. We wish everyone the best of luck.”
Jobseekers interested in the fair are encouraged to sign up for free today at http://www.virtualcareerevent.com/jtuk to ensure they are guaranteed entry from February 18.
