A FIRM of solicitors based in Hartlepool is ensuring Tees Valley’s sports sides have a top chance of success.

TBI Solicitors has backed everything from cricketers in Hartlepool and Seaton Carew to golfers in Castle Eden.

Its latest support is for Redcar Rugby Club Football Team.

TBI Solicitors has sponsored the pre and post-match polo shirts for the team, which competes in the Teesside Alliance Football League.

This is the latest in a range of sponsorships launched by the legal firm supporting sport for all ages and all levels across the Tees Valley.

Martin Levinson, of TBI Solicitors, said: “Every sports team relies on support from businesses and the community.”

He said TBI was “passionate in its support for local sport”.

Since 2008, TBI has supported Seaton Carew Golf Course, the 10th oldest course in the UK.

More recently, funding for Castle Eden cricket team has helped its youngsters to compete both locally, and on tour further afield in the UK.

TBI has also recently sponsored Castle Eden Golf Club’s competitive team, and Hartlepool Golf Club junior team.

Beyond traditional sponsorship, TBI now works with a number of sporting organisations, launching schemes which not only benefit families and fans but also help the sporting organisations’ development funds.

The initial scheme, Pools Law, launched through Hartlepool United Football Club, offers fans a ten per cent discount on a range of legal services, and gives the club a five per cent donation towards the Youth Development programme for each instruction.

A similar scheme was launched in June 2010 with Castle Eden Golf Club. Club members benefit from discounted legal fees, with TBI donating funds to help development of the club’s competitive team.

Most recently TBI has announced sponsorship of Teesside Junior Football Alliance (TJFA), one of the largest junior leagues in Europe with 571 teams competing in 53 divisions. Alongside the offer of discounted legal services, TBI is donating five per cent of instruction fees to support football development through the league across the North-East.

TBI employs more than 100 people in four offices - in Hartlepool, Wynyard, Stockton and Barnard Castle.
