TICKETS are now on sale for one of the most prestigious business events in Hartlepool.
And nominations are now coming in steadily for the Hartlepool Business Awards which attracts an audience of hundreds every May.
The Hartlepool Mail-backed Business Awards will be held on Thursday, May 14 at the Borough Hall on the Headland.
Awards co-ordinator Andrew Steel urged people to snap up their places which are in high demand, and also to nominate even more causes before the deadline of March 16 for entries.
He added: “Tickets are £35 for anyone who buys their ticket before April 1, and £40 after that.”
Mr Steel said: “We are starting to receive entries and we are getting some positive numbers, but we would encourage businesses to get their entries in and get them in sooner rather than later.”
He urged nominations in particular for the Business Leader of the Year section which was won last year by restaurateur Krimo Bouabda. Mr Steel said: “It is about nominating someone who you feel has contributed greatly to the business world of Hartlepool.
“Whether they are still in business or not, it does not matter. This is your opportunity to put someone on the map and give credit to someone who really deserves it for being a positive leader.”
Contenders can register their interest on the awards website which can be found at http://hartlepoolbusinessforum.co.uk/
