A TRAINING and employment service which has helped hundreds of people find work has celebrated its five-year anniversary.
Hartlepool Training and Employment Services started up five years ago as a commercial training provider with just three members of staff.
In that time it has welcomed a stream of keen career-seekers in areas such as rigging, steel erecting, and forklift driving, and seen the firm go from strength to strength.
It now has 20 employees, three offices and a purpose-built training centre in Mainsforth Terrace – and 150 apprentices on its books to boot.
The firm celebrated its milestone birthday with a buffet and a day of reflection on its achievements.
Lisa Coggin, senior manager at the company, said: “Very early on we established that there was a requirement for a recruitment office in our town where we have successfully placed many individuals back into the work place throughout the recession and to date.
We are extremely proud of the service we are providing to both employers and individuals and hope that the next 5 years is as successful as the previous.Lisa Coggin, senior manager at Hartlepool Training and Employment Services
“After establishing a good name in the training field, we were approached by several colleges to deliver training to both the 16 to 18-year-old age group and the general unemployed.
“As a training and recruitment provider we take great pride in supporting our local community and helping them both back into work either on apprenticeships, or into full time employment.
“Currently we have over 150 active apprentices throughout our local area and this is expanding daily as employers hear about our training centre and look to build their workforce.”
