A CANCER awareness roadshow is taking place in Hartlepool tomorrow in a town library.
The event takes place in Owton Manor Library, in Wynyard Road, between 2pm-3pm.
Organised by NHS Tees and Macmillan Cancer Support, the free event aims to give people information to help them recognise potential early signs and symptoms and show them where they can find help and support if they are worried.
There will be a chance to have a go at some interactive games to help increase knowledge of the disease and volunteers from Macmillan Cancer Support will be answering questions and handing out information leaflets.
Pete Moody, Macmillan Cancer Information and Volunteer Facilitator, said: “Cancer isn’t an easy subject to talk about but it’s really important that we all know the early signs and symptoms.
“The activities and information at the roadshow will hopefully help people to talk more openly about the disease.”
