And reports today suggest that Boro could have been handed a boost in their reported pursuit of a £6m target.

Middlesbrough could have received a boost in their pursuit of Bristol City full-back Joe Bryan after Newcastle United withdrew from the race. The Premier League side are said to have been 'priced out' of a deal, which could see Boro move into pole position in the chase for the in-demand defender. However, a trio of Bundesliga sides and Leeds United have also been credited with an interest (Bristol Post)
