Councillor Allan Barclay, Hartlepool Borough Council’s Armed Forces Champion, said: “I hope as many people as possible will come along to this special event to show their gratitude to our Armed Forces.

“Our servicemen and women show courage and devotion of the very highest order as they carry out their daily duties to keep us safe and also help keep the peace in other countries around the world.

“Armed Forces Day is an important opportunity for us all to show how much we value them and how proud we are of them.”
