HOUSING chiefs are inviting residents on a pre-Christmas community clean-up.
East Durham Homes (EDH) and Morrison Facility Services will be providing a skip at various locations throughout east Durham all next week.
Officials will also be on hand to answer general queries.
The events will take place between 10am and 2pm, from Monday to Friday.
On Monday, representatives will be at Manor Way, in Peterlee, opposite McColls and on Tuesday they will be near Kasko House and Marine Crescent in Blackhall.
On Wednesday, they will be opposite Wheatley Hill Primary School, King’s Road in Wingate on Thursday and on Friday at Brackendale Court in Station Town.
There will be one skip at each location for level loads only.
Asbestos, fridges/freezers, gas bottles, car batteries, tyres, clinical waste and TV/computer screens will not be accepted.
EDH customer involvement manager Julie Dower said: “The community clean-up week will give residents the chance to have a-clear out before Christmas and get rid of any bulky items or additional rubbish. They are also welcome to come along to talk to East Durham Homes and Morrison staff.”
