KEEN golfers have raised their game to raise funds for Hartlepool & District Hospice.
The Usworth Road-based Hartlepool Beer & Wine Company annual charity golf day was held last month.
The firm has been a fantastic supporter of the Hospice since 2009 and has held a series of events raising almost £18,000 for Hospice care.
Managing director Phil Gallagher said: “I would like to thank all the teams who took part and supported the charity on the day. The winning team was NES Security.”
Mr Gallagher thanked Mark Jones and his staff “for the excellent hospitality and to Seaton Carew Golf Club for allowing us to use the course every year. This year we raised £2,300, which is a fantastic achievement for a very worthy charity.”
Hospice corporate fundraiser Carol Sennett said: “Once again we are delighted with the support we get from the team at the Hartlepool Beer & Wine Company.
“I know that the Hospice has a special place in Phil’s heart; this is evident in the great enthusiasm and commitment he has with every event he has organised.
“The money raised will go directly towards Hospice services and caring for patients from Hartlepool and east Durham.”
