YOUNG art enthusiasts can get their hands on a thrilling title when it is released this week.

The World of Art is the 22nd book in Disney’s Wonderful World of Knowledge series.

Youngsters have built up quite a collection over the past few months with all of the books featuring a whole host of quirky and interesting facts along with popular Disney characters.

And art-loving children can find out all they need to know about the subject for the bargain price of just £2.99 this week.

The title turns back time 30,000 years and looks at Stone Age art all the way through to Buddhist art, Japanese Print and art of today.

Joanne Salway, education officer for Hartlepool Cultural Services, which is part of Hartlepool Borough Council, said: “Art is a creative outlet for children and it is very fun for them to do with friends and family.

“There are lots of different kinds of art and it is a subject which youngsters tend to be very keen to learn about.”

The book is available for the bargain price with tokens available in the Hartlepool Mail.

The vouchers can then be exchanged for the title at various outlets throughout the town.

l Meanwhile, youngsters can enjoy a number of art classes and drop in sessions throughout the summer holidays.

Sessions take place at Hartlepool Art Gallery, in Church Square on a Saturday morning from 10am-noon, Wednesday’s, from 1.30pm-3.30pm and Thursday’s, from 1pm-3.30pm.
