Christmas activities

A PACKED weekend of fun is on the cards after a residents’ association joined forces with a community centre.

On Saturday, December 3, and Sunday, December 4, a bumper weekend of Christmas activities will be held in St Matthew’s Community Centre, in Elwick Road.

The event is being jointly organised by Burn Valley North Residents’ Association and the community centre.

On Saturday there will be a Christmas Craft Fayre with a wide range of craft stalls from 10am to 3pm.

Entry is free but there will be a small charge for refreshments.

Children’s activities include: cup cake decoration, card making, bauble decoration, face painting plus various other activities.

There will also be a raffle, tombola and cake stall.

Meanwhile, on Sunday the children’s activities start at 11am and hot rolls and refreshments will be available.

At 1pm “ActOne Panto” will perform Alice In Pantoland.

Entry to the pantomime is by ticket only, which cost £5 per person or £17 for a family ticket, which must include one adult.
