A CLIMBER will give a talk to a Hartlepool group as he continues his preparations to tackle Mount Everest.

Town man Ellis Stewart is bidding to climb the 29,000ft Everest in 2014. He will take on the epic quest in aid of the NSPCC.

He will talk about his dream when he addresses members of the Cleveland and Durham District Lodge of the Oddfellows Society.

His talk will be given from 7.30pm tomorrow and admission is £3. There will be refreshments and a raffle and all proceeds will go to the NSPCC.

Ellis, who runs his own online T-shirt company, has already reached the summit of the world’s sixth highest mountain, Cho Oyu, in Tibet and Aconcagua, South America’s highest mountain.
