Coastal waymarker unveiled

A NEW waymarker featuring designs by a top artist will be unveiled tomorrow.

The new sign, by local artist and teacher Jac Howard, will be put into place at Crimdon beach at 11am tomorrow.

Local councillors and Niall Benson, of the Durham Heritage Coast Partnership, will be on hand to see the sign being installed.

The new welcome sign will inform and inspire the many local people and visitors who walk the coastal footpath each year and celebrate the rejuvenated coastline. A similar sign is being installed at Seaham.
