The comedy acts will be sharing their laughs at Hartlepool’s Town Hall Theatre, in the town’s Raby Road, on Saturday, April 30, for the Hot Potato Comedy Club.

The monthly comedy club has been going strong for five years in Hartlepool.

The event is run by Ten Feet Tall and organisers say people are in for a side-splitting show.

Peter Vincent, of Ten Feet Tall, said: “We’ve got another properly storming gig here, and we’re chuffed to welcome Ray Peacock back to Hartlepool as special guest MC.

“Ray’s one of the most in-demand comics around today, and behind the scenes he’s also a favourite TV warm-up for the likes of Jonathan Ross, Graham Norton, Lee Mack and Miranda Hart.”

Peter added: “Our headliners are both spot on too.

“You might well have seen Andrew Bird supporting the likes of Rhod Gilbert and Jon Richardson on tour.

“Andrew is also in big demand as part of the writing team on 8 Out of 10 Cats and Mock the Week, and a very nifty studio warm-up man on a string of shows including Room 101.

“And you’ll know Jamali Maddix from a fantastic debut TV headlining slot on The John Bishop Show last autumn.

“Brimming with natural charm, he’s one of the most exciting talents to hit the circuit in years.

“Top support comes from Julian Lee, so we’re looking forward to a top night here.”

Tickets start from £7 if purchased a week before the show, tickets go up to £9 if purchased with less than a week to go to the show.

The event will kick off at 8pm.

Tickets can be purchased from Hartlepool Tourist Information Centre Box Office, 01429 890000, and online at www.hartlepooltownhalltheatre.com
