Community classes starting at school

A NEW set of community courses are set to be launched at a town school.

Dozens of people turn out at the popular community classes at St Hild’s C of E School, in King Oswy Drive, Hartlepool.

And now residents can sign up for a new range of courses which are getting underway next month.

Introduction to study skills, health and care, child development and dementia awareness classes are all launching, which cost £10 and run for three weeks.

The four classes will run on a Thursday morning from 9.30am-12.30pm.

A teaching assistant class, which staff say has proved extremely popular in the past, is starting as well as dressmaking and crafts courses.

A course titled Time for Me, aimed at people who are lacking confidence but want to take up new hobbies or challenges, is also getting underway which will run every Wednesday from 6pm-7.30pm.

Julie Fletcher, community manager at St Hild’s C of E School, said: “Our courses have always proved popular in the past and hopefully these classes will be no different.

“We try to offer a variety of courses for people.”
