Williams follows Andrew Davies, Myles Anderson, Mark Kitching, Peter Kioso, Paddy McLaughlin, Liam Noble, Luke James, Marcus Dinanga and Niko Muir through the door at the Super 6 Stadium under manager Matthew Bates.

The former Middlesbrough midfielder played for Pools in 2013/14, scoring twice in seven games and goes straight into the squad for this weekend's trip to Dagenham.

Williams, 25, has been a free agent since his release from League One outfit Scunthorpe United in May.
