Congestion after crash near Hartlepool hospital

FIREFIGHTERS helped to clear a road after a road traffic accident near Hartlepool hospital.

It is believed two vehicles were involved in the collision on Holdforth Road at around 4.30pm on Monday.

One fire engine from Stranton Fire Station was called to help clear fuel that was on the road.

There are no reports of any injuries.

The incident caused some congestion until the road reopened around half an hour later.
