AN alcoholic has been jailed for attacking his own mother and sister at his parents home in Hartlepool.

Teesside Crown Court heard David Bell, 48, punched and kicked both women and dragged them around the house leaving them with cuts and bruises.

He also held a knife to his sister’s throat during a drunken tantrum.

Bell, a former photographer, was jailed after he pleaded guilty to two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm on June 14.

Two years ago, he avoided jail after he fractured his dad’s hip during a bizarre outburst over chicken nuggets.

On that occasion the crown court heard Bell became angry after he met his parents at a bus stop on Hartlepool’s Coast Road when he discovered his mum had brought a supermarket variety of chicken instead of KFC.

Bell, of Brockett Close, Newton Aycliffe, was jailed for 20 months for the latest assaults.
