Appeal after break in attempt at Hartlepool off licence

POLICE have issued an appeal after someone tried to break into an off licence in Hartlepool over the weekend.

The would-be burglar attempted to force their way inside Belle Vue Wines, on Sydenham Road, between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

They damaged a window in the process.

A Cleveland Police spokesman said: “During the hours of Saturday night, October 25, and Sunday morning, October 26, at Belle Vue Wines a local shop on Sydenham Road, Hartlepool, someone attempted to break into the shop and garage causing damage to the window.”
