Appeal to witnesses of arson attack on caravan in Hartlepool

POLICE have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to an arson attack.

A caravan used by a car wash business was set on fire at Camerons Holdings, in Mainsforth Terrace, in Hartlepool, just over a week ago.

The fire spread to an oil storage tank and damaged part of a building used by other businesses at the site.

It was only thanks to the quick response of firefighters that prevented the blaze spreading further and causing major damage.

A subsequent investigation discovered the fire had been started deliberately.

But there have been no arrests so far.

Police after appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious at around 8am on Sunday, January 19, to get in touch.
