Arrests after discovery of ‘large’ cannabis farm on Hartlepool estate

A MAN and a woman have been arrested after police discovered what they have called a large cannabis farm at a house in Hartlepool.

Police from the Hartlepool Integrated Neighbourhood Team uncovered 52 plants in a loft at an address in the Fens on Thursday afternoon.

Officers raided the house after obtaining a warrant from town magistrates.

The man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and are in police custody.

Sergeant Dave Halliday of the neighbourhood police team said investigations are ongoing.

No valuation of the plants has been determined yet.
