Assault, stealing alcohol and driving while using a phone: The latest cases heard in court round-up
Ryan Evans, 24, of Goldcrest Crescent, Billingham, was fined £350 after he admitted driving whilst under the influence of cocaine. He also pleaded guilty to driving with another drug in his system and possession of a class A drug. He was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
Lloyd Matthew Caygill, 23, of High Street, Wolviston, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. He was fined £244 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge and was banned from driving for 14 months.

Hide AdNigel Wilson, 58, of Bedale Avenue, Billingham, was given a 12-month conditional discharge after admitting stealing alcohol, valued at £157.50, from Morrisons in Hartlepool. He also pleaded guilty to breaching a court order. He was ordered to pay a £21 surcharge.
Chelsea Louise Jack, 26, of Wordsworth Avenue, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour. She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
Fiona Jayne McEvoy, 51, of Pinewood Close, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. She was fined £461 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £46 surcharge. She was banned from driving for 12 months.
Joe Langley, 28, of Spurn Walk, Hartlepool, was fined £80 after admitting an assault. He was told to pay £25 compensation, £40 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Hide AdThomas James Hodgson, 47, of Budworth Close, Billingham, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was fined £140 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
Christopher Fothergill, 34, of Half Moon, Spennymoor, admitted driving through Billingham while using a handheld phone. He was fined £126 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge. He was also given six penalty points on his licence.
Paul Anthony Brown, 50, of Brenda Road, Hartlepool, admitted a charge of possession of cannabis and of breaching a suspended sentence order. He was fined £165 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
