Assaulting police officers, drink driving and other recent Hartlepool court cases

The following cases from the Hartlepool area were dealt with recently at Teesside Magistrates’ Court:

Andrea Gardener, 49, of Lynwood Drive, Wynyard, was banned from driving for 20 months, placed on a community order and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £300 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving on December 20.

Benjamin Bullock, 23, of Finchale Avenue, Billingham, was banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine, £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting drink driving on April 30.

Jonathan James Holmes, 35, of Salisbury Place, Hartlepool, was placed on a community order and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting assault and using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on August 21.

Mark Robinson, 56, of Butterstone Avenue, Hartlepool, was placed on a community order and ordered to pay an £85 victim surcharge and £650 costs after he was convicted of two counts of causing harassment between 2019-2020 and one of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on July 10.

Elizabeth Scarr, 64, of Severn Close, Peterlee, received six penalty points on her driving licence and was ordered to pay a £440 fine, £44 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting driving without insurance on November 12.

Luke Sonny Carling, 23, of Shadforth Drive, Billingham, was ordered to complete 180 hours of unpaid work as part of a community order and to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £200 costs after admitting driving while disqualified, careless driving and driving without insurance on January 20 last year.

Nicole Readman, 31, of Ivy Grove, Hartlepool, received an 18-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £100 compensation, a £22 victim surcharge and £50 costs after admitting assaulting a police officer on May 2.
