A TEENAGER was taken to hospital with broken ribs after being attacked while walking through a housing estate.
The 16-year-old boy is said to have been heading along Jameson Road, in the Owton Manor area of Hartlepool, when he was set upon.
He was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, with facial injuries and broken ribs.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the assault that happened between 3.20pm and 3.40pm on Friday, March 9.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed pending further enquiries in connection with the incident.
