A TEENAGER was found with cannabis stuffed into his sock.
Jordon Philip Bailey, 18, had been arrested on another matter – for which no further police action was taken – and was taken to Hartlepool Police Station.
As officers searched him they found some of the class B drug in his right sock.
Prosecuting, Lilian Atkinson told Hartlepool Magistrates’ Court: “The defendant was arrested by police for another matter.
“When he was searched at the police station the cannabis was found in his sock. He said it was for his own use.”
Bailey, of Deerpool Close, on the Central Estate, Hartlepool, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis.
Mitigating, Adrian Morris said: “This was possession of a small amount of cannabis and there was no further action taken on the original arrest.”
Bailey was fined £65 and ordered to pay £30 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
