Car windows smashed in suspected airgun attack

Police are investigating after a suspected airgun attack damaged a car in Wingate.

Durham Constabulary said: “Police were called to an address on Dorman Court, Wingate at around 7.30pm on Saturday (January 18) following reports a vehicle had been damaged.

“It is believed the suspect used an air weapon to cause damage to the car’s windows which were both smashed.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”

The car is understood to be owned by a visitor to the address.
