Case against Hartlepool man accused of 19 child sex assaults is transferred to crown court

The case against a man accused of 19 child sex assaults has been transferred to crown court.

Mark Sorby, 44, whose address is listed on court documents as Ettrick Walk, Hartlepool, appeared has for the first time at Teesside Magistrates’ Court, in Middlesbrough.

He is charged under the Sexual Offences Act with 19 counts of sexually assaulting girls.

The case against him was adjourned until Monday, June 28, when Sorby will make his first appearance before a judge at Teesside Crown Court.

He was granted conditional bail.
