Caution for man arrested after rooftop siege in Hartlepool

A MAN arrested along with two others after police were called to a late-night rooftop siege has been given a caution.

The 19-year-old was cautioned for criminal damage after the incident in Church Street, Hartlepool, around 12.50am on Tuesday.

Two other people, aged 16, and 23, arrested in connection with the incident, which involved the police helicopter, police dog section and two fire crews, have been bailed pending further inquiries.

The Mail reported that Hartlepool Police were called to reports of a number of people on rooftops and two men were arrested while a teenage boy remained on the rooftop before he came down just after 4.30am.
