Children suffer racial abuse

CHILDREN playing in the street were subjected to racial abuse from a man on a bike.

Police are trying to track down the person responsible for the vile language aimed at four youngsters in Hutton Avenue, Hartlepool.

The incident happened at around 6.50pm on Tuesday.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “Police are appealing for information regarding an incident of verbal abuse in Hartlepool which is believed to be racially aggravated.

“Four children were playing in the street when a man on a pedal cycle went past and shouted racial abuse at them.”

The man is described as having black hair and was wearing a black tracksuit. His bike was black and white.
