A DRUG user burgled his sister’s home to pay off a drug debt after she said she was going away on Facebook.

Callum Mullen, 21, from Hartlepool, saw Kirsty Mullen’s status post and broke into her house in Billingham with a friend.

They stole £30 cash and various computer gaming consoles and accessories, some of which Mullen sold to a second hand shop in Hartlepool’s Middleton Grange shopping centre.

He was jailed for just over two and a half years (966 days) at Teesside Crown Court on Friday after he admitted the burglary which happened between January 11 and 13.

Mullen, of Wynyard Mews, Hartlepool, also admitted fraud by passing the stolen goods off as his when he sold them.
