CANNABIS with a street value of £20,000 and £3,500 of cash were seized by police who stopped a car for a routine search on the A19.
Police recovered 20 bars of suspected cannabis resin when the silver Vauxhall was stopped near Crathorne, on the A19, at 7.50pm on March 24.
Two men, aged 35 and 38 from the Hartlepool area, were arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply and were bailed pending further inquiries.
Detective Inspector John Ward said: “This is another example of how officers are working to remove drugs from the streets of Cleveland.”
