Hartlepool attempted murder victim on road to recovery

THE victim of an assault for which four men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder is said to be recovering from his injuries.

The 33-year-old man suffered serious head injuries following the incident in the town’s Tankerville Street, off Grange Road, in Hartlepool, on Sunday, January 25.

Police have confirmed that the unnamed man has undergone surgery for his injuries and is now in recovery.

A spokeswoman said inquiries are still ongoing into the incident.

The four arrests, which are three men who are aged in their 30s and one who is in his 40s, have been released on bail.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “The victim has undergone surgery and is recovering from his injuries.

“Inquiries into the incident are still ongoing.”
