A man accused of burglary was locked up for breaching his bail curfew by 15 minutes.

Frank Woods, 43, is alleged to have stolen 13 radiators from a Taylor Wimpey building site at Raby Road, Hartlepool.

Woods, of Pine Grove, Hartlepool, denied that offence at a previous hearing at Hartlepool Magistrates’ Court.

He was back before the same court accused of breaching his 7pm bail curfew.

Prosecutor Philip Morley said Woods was not inside his house when a check was made at 7.15pm on July 19.

Woods said he had not breached the curfew on purpose, but had arrived home to find his front door had been unexpectedly locked by another family member.

He admitted breach of bail.

The bench imposed no separate penalty for that offence, but chairwoman Kate Brown warned Woods he would be locked up again if he breached the curfew in future.

Woods was rebailed to attend for his trial on the building site burglary on October 27.
