A Hartlepool man has appeared in court over a videolink charged with a string of offences.

Adrian Leslie Craigs, 31, pleaded not guilty to an allegation of assault against his father on August 25 during the hearing at Hartlepool Magistrates’ Court.

He was previously convicted in his absence of stalking a woman on October 13.

His course of conduct is said to have included attending the victim’s home on a daily basis, entering her home and garden and following her, all between June 4 and July 9.

Craigs, of Lanark Road, was also found guilty in his absence on August 6, of drink driving from February 28 when the amount of alcohol on his breath was 60 micrograms.

The legal limit is 35mg.

He was also convicted in his absence of having no test certificate on the same date.

Craigs admitted two counts of failing to attend court while on bail on August 6 and October 13.

Magistrates adjourned the case until Friday, November 20, and remanded him in custody in the meantime.
