NEIGHBOURHOOD police will be out in force this weekend as part of a blitz on underage drinking and anti-social behaviour.

Hartlepool Integrated Neighbourhood Teams say they will be conducting high visibility patrols across the town starting on Friday.

Officers will also be visiting shops to make sure they are not selling alcohol to under age youths.

The team recently seized a number of bottles of booze from youths during patrols of the town.

As well as taking the alcohol off them the teens were then moved on from the area.

The team also works with the dog unit on patrols as part of their efforts to tackle issues that blight communities.

Hartlepool Integrated Neighbourhood Team are now on Facebook and Twitter. Follow them on Twitter @Hartlepool_INT.
