Hunt goes on for masked armed robbers who stole Audi from Hartlepool home

Five armed men who stormed a Hartlepool home with a machete and a gun to steal a luxury car are still at large as the police investigation continues.

The armed robbery happened at Greenlea, Hartlepool, at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, January 14.

They wore balaclavas during the incident, and had previously been driving a Ford Mondeo which was later recovered by officers in Durham.

No one was hurt during the ordeal.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman confirmed to the Mail on Thursday, January 16 that inquiries were ongoing into the armed robbery.

The force’s inquiries continue, and officers are appealing for anyone with information regarding the men responsible or the incident to contact the force on 101 quoting 007638.
