Man accused of sex crimes against children to appear before judge

A MAN accused of a string of alleged sex crimes has had his case sent to be dealt with by a judge.

Paul Vincent Jones appeared at Hartlepool Magistrates’ Court charged with 10 offences.

The 33-year-old is accused of breaching a sexual offences prevention order by contacting a child under the age of 18 that he was prohibited from doing so under the terms of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO), and for allegedly assaulting a girl, namely that he indecently touched her.

He is charged with five counts of making indecent photos of children between Justices at the court in Victoria Road sent the case to be dealt with by a judge at Teesside Crown Court in Middlesbrough.

Jones, of Brenda Road, Hartlepool, was remanded in custody until his appearance at crown court at 10am on February 6.
