Man and woman arrested on suspicion of being involved in drug dealing

A MAN and woman were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in drugs supply after a raid on their home.

Peterlee Neighbourhood Policing Team swooped on a house in Eleventh Street, in Horden.

Police say they uncovered a quantity of white powder suspected to be heroin and drugs-related paraphernalia.

Inspector Dave Coxon, of Peterlee Police, said police will act on any information relating to suspicious drugs activity in East Durham.

He added: “We are keen to deal with any information relating to drugs-related activity. We recognise the harm it causes and are keen to tackle these issues.”

The man and woman, both in their 20s, were bailed following Friday morning’s raid.
