Man arrested on suspicion of burglary following break-in at former Engineers Club in Hartlepool

A 32-year-old man remains in custody this morning after being arrested on suspicion of burglary in Hartlepool.

Cleveland Police were called to the former Engineers Club building, in Raby Road, yesterday afternoon following reports of an intruder inside the unoccupied premises.

Officers arrived and a man was arrested at the scene.

He is currently in police custody and faces questioning while inquiries continue.
