Man found unconscious on Hartlepool field

A Police investigation has been launched after a man was found unconscious on a field in Hartlepool.

Police were called to Friarage field, in the Headland area of Hartlepool by paramedics at 10pm on Saturday night.

The man was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, where he remains for treatment to head injuries.

Cleveland Police say that investigations are ongoing to establish the cause of his injuries.
