Man in court accused of plot to supply cocaine after arrests made across the country


A MAN accused of being part of a plot to supply cocaine has appeared in court.

Geoffrey Hutchinson, 48, from Shinwell Crescent, Thornley, is charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug.

He was one of 15 people arrested in National Crime Agency raids in County Durham, Leeds, Liverpool, Shropshire and Manchester.

Hutchinson and a dozen other defendants appeared at Teesside Crown Court for a preliminary hearing yesterday.

Hutchinson was released on bail to reappear at the crown court on Friday, June 11, for a plea hearing.
