Man in court accused of robbing Hartlepool bookies

A MAN has appeared in court charged with a robbery at a bookies.

Marcus Peter Davies was brought before justices in custody at Hartlepool Magistrates’ Court accused of the robbery at Ladbrokes, in Church Street, Hartlepool, on Monday night. Court documents say £350 was taken in the raid.

The 32-year-old spoke only to confirm his identity at the hearing yesterday.

Chairman of the bench Barbara Sutherland remanded Davies, of Church Street, in custody and sent the case to Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday, February 26.
