A MAN was taken to hospital with a stab wound after being knifed in the back during a domestic incident.
Police were called to an address in Carlton Street, Hartlepool, shortly after midnight on Wednesday.
An ambulance was already at the scene when officers arrived, and a 29-year-old man was taken to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, for a treatment to a stab wound in his back.
His injuries were described as non-life threatening.
A 30-year-old woman is currently in police custody having been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “We recived the call at around 12.10am to a house in Carlton Street from the ambulance service.
“A 30-year-old woman is currently in custody.”
