Man suffers broken ankle in attack outside Hartlepool pub

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered a broken ankle in an attack outside a pub last night.

The 53-year-old man was assaulted outside King John’s Tavern, in South Road, Hartlepool, at around 7pm, also suffering heavy bruising to his face and body.

He was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, by ambulance.

The suspect is described as a white male, around 40-years-old who is bald and was wearing glasses and a light coloured top.
