Medical bag stolen from car in Hartlepool

POLICE are investigating after a medical bag was stolen from a car in Hartlepool.

The bag was stolen from a silver Nissan Micra car parked in Clifton Avenue, in Hartlepool.

It contained six blank prescriptions.

A stethoscope was also stolen.

A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police asked anyone with any information to come forward, and also urged pharmacies in the area to be vigilant for any handwritten scripts.

She said: “The bag was stolen from a silver Nissan Micra and it took place between 10.30pm on Saturday, February 21, and 5am on Sunday, February 22, in Clifton Avenue.

“The prescriptions were detailed with the address of a health centre in Sunderland.

“A Littman’s brass effect stethoscope was also stolen.” Witnesses should ring Pc Holly Angus on 101.
