Pet rabbit beaten, killed and hung from tree after being stolen from Hartlepool charity

POLICE are hunting for cruel thugs who stole and then killed a pet rabbit leaving it hanging in a tree.

The rabbit was stolen during a burglary at Manor Residents Association, in Kilmarnock Road, Hartlepool, overnight from Monday, April 28, into Tuesdayy, April 29.

A shed was broken into and a rabbit was stolen, which the children who use the centre played with. A red children’s tricycle was also taken.

The rabbit was later found hanging from a tree on the Owton Manor Estate, having suffered numerous injuries.
