A CYCLIST has been injured after his bike was hit by a car which failed to stop.

Police are appealing for information after the collision yesterday lunchtime.

The 34-year-old cyclist was riding along Catcote Road in Hartlepool, and was heading towards the Fens estate from Brierton Lane, when the accident happened at 12.15pm.

The cyclist was close to the junction of Dalkeith Road when a dark blue Audi A4, which was heading in the same direction, collided with the cyclist, knocking him to the floor.
