Officers are appealing for the public’s help in finding a man and a woman who they hope to speak to in connection with fraud in the town.
On Friday, January 31, police released photos on social media of these two people who they are seeking to locate in relation to crime in our region.
On Twitter, a spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: “We'd like to speak to them in connection with the theft of a handbag which took place at the Fighting Cox in Durham City in November and subsequent fraud in the Hartlepool area."
As inquiries continue, officers are hoping that members of the public will be able to help them with the investigation.
If you have any information regarding these two incidents or you believe you know who or where these people are, you are urged to contact Durham Police by calling the non-emergency number 101.
